The YMCA Chorus of Sundsvall is one of the biggest male choirs in Sweden. Today the choir has 75 members in the ages ranging from 20 to 80 years.
The choir started in 1967 and has experienced great success with its music. Apart from big annual concerts like Julton and Caprice, we are now one of the most frequent male choirs on Swedish Television. We have also released records and CD:s.
The repertory of the choir is very varied, which means music written by the great composers as well as music in a ligter style.
We are also active as organizers of different concerts and tours that gather thousands of spectators every year.
The Choir is often on tour. We made a successful tour in England with perfomance in St. Pauls Cathedral, London. We have also performed in Vienna, Austria and Budapest, Hungary as well as in Rome where the Choir sung for the Pope, John Paul II. We also had a concert in Assisi in the Basilica of St. Francis. The choir has toured the west coast of US several times, in Chicago, twice in Honolulu, Hawaii and with concerts on Majesty of the Sea, a big cruiser liner, in the West Indies.
We frequently tour all over Sweden with both Sacred Concerts and Choir Shows.
